Ingredients
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 1/4 cups shortening
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 10 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Line an 11 1/2x15 baking pan with parchment paper.
- Cream together sugar and shortening.
- Beat in eggs.
- In a separate bowl, mix together dry ingredients.
- Mix dry ingredients into shortening mixture.
- Fold in nuts.
- Spread batter out in bottom of pan.
- Bake until done (about 30 minutes).
- Remove from oven and let cool.
- Ice with fudge frosting, if desired.
- Cut into squares.
