Ingredients
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup almond slivers
Method
- Preheat oven to 350 °F.
- Put oil and chocolate squares in 8x8 square cake pan, then put in oven until chocolate is melted (about 4 minutes).
- Remove pan from oven.
- Add water, sugar, egg, flour, salt, baking soda, and almond extract to the pan.
- Mix everything together with a fork until smooth.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and almond slivers on top.
- Put pan in oven and bake until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean (about 40 minutes).
- Remove from oven, cool, and serve.
