Triple Chocolate Cakey Brownies
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 1/4 cups white sugar
- 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder
- 5 large eggs
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper.
- Combine the melted butter with the sugar, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in the cocoa, salt, baking powder, vanilla, and espresso powder.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Scrape the bowl.
- Add the water then stir until smooth.
- Add the flour and chocolate chips, stirring until combined.
- Spoon the batter into the pan.
- Bake until centre is set and a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean (about 30 minutes).
- Remove from oven and allow to cool.
- Ice with fudge frosting.
