Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup nuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Line 9x9 pan with parchment paper.
- Mix together dry ingredients.
- Blend in butter.
- Stir in eggs and milk, stir until smooth.
- Pour batter into pan.
- Mix together sugar, flour, butter, cinnamon, and salt until crumbs form.
- Top batter with crumbs and nuts.
- Bake until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean (about 30 minutes).
