Brownie Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon shortening, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 3/4 cup boiling water

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt together.
  3. Add milk, shortening, and vanilla.
  4. Mix only until smooth.
  5. Stir in nuts.
  6. Pour into greased casserole dish.
  7. Mix brown sugar and cocoa together and sprinkle over batter.
  8. Pour boiling water over batter.
  9. Bake in oven (about 30 to 40 minutes).
  10. Serve hot or cold.
