Caramelized Onions

Ingredients

  • olive oil
  • 1/2 pound per person sweet yellow onions coarsely chopped

Method

  1. Warm up a large stock pot over low heat.
  2. Add onions.
  3. Cook until onions are a dark brown (do not turn heat up, do not cover, stir regularly).
  4. If onions begin to stick, add a bit more oil.
